  •  Level 3 for spelling will also strengthen weak readers who should have completed the reading course before starting.
  • I advise much revision of word lists as you move through the programme.
  • Spelling lessons will follow the normal weekly teaching routine.
  • Special needs pupils may require more than one week on each sound.
  • Remember that it is not enough to just do the worksheets. They are an aid to learning, not the teacher. Much study should be done mid-week to prepare for the weekly dictations.
  • Use flashcards if necessary.
