Consonant Blends Phonic Reading BooksFREE to download and print PDF files!
These phonics readers will help to develop confidence in reading - the key stone for motivating the early reader. Based on the experiences of young children, I have written these simple readers to be truly phonetic, unlike most 'phonics' readers, which use a lot of words that the child doesn't know and can't decode. They follow the order of sounds as taught in this programme. If you have found these FREE reading books a help to your child, please consider donating, to keep Reading Made Simple 100% free so more children can benefit!

How to make the Phonic Reading Books
This is very simple
- Download the book.
- Set your printer to print 'booklet'.
- Assemble the pages in order, and staple them, OR cut the page sin half before stapling them.
The reading books are in colour, but if it is too expensive to print in colour, then just set your printer to print in black and white.

If your child is still having to sound out most words after reading the CVC and consonant blends book, this is where you go next:
Some children having finished CVC words and Consonant blends and having read the books may be able to sound these words out, but may struggle to recall them in text, making it hard for the child to read fluently. This is common with many children with a known difficulty, or speech delay (for any reason).
