Learning to read books is great, but the Bible is God's Word to mankind and holds the key to understanding everything else we learn. It holds the key to WISDOM! It answers questions like: Why are we here? How did the world get here? Is there are a God? If there is, what do we need to know about Him? How do we need to live our lives to please Him? What about the wrong things I do? Is there a heaven? Does everybody go to heaven? How can I make sure I do?
The answers to these questions are fundamental to how we operate, as learning who is in charge of our world, and how we can relate to Him will affect everything we do and say! We all have an answer, but is our answer based on the TRUTH or is it something we hope is right, or do we dismiss these matters and hope it doesn't matter?
Reading the Bible will be the best thing you can do for your children and yourself.
To help with this we have introduced Bible vocabulary and texts that could be read at that given stage with the phonic skills learnt so far. There are also texts to colour interspersed at the right point throughout Level 1 as well. Hopefully they will give great satisfaction. Do look them up in a real Bible too - as then it will amaze your pupil that s/he can read something in that great thick book full of complicated looking print! It's not complicated and soon your pupil will be able to read it for him/herself!
There will be a picture of the text to be coloured and a link to the pdf containing that text as it occurs in the scheme. For your convenience the pdf's are listed here as well.
Definitions/understandings of some of the words, as given, are taken from the child's Catechism. It can be viewed here:

These simple questions and answers can help you to instruct your child in the things of God.
